Valentine's Day or Day of St. Valentine 14th February

Po?etak obilježavanja današnjeg Valentinova potje?e daleko u historiji u vrijeme staroga Rima. Tada je krš?anstvo bila mlada religija a na vlasti je bio car Klaudije II. Car je zabranio ženidbu i zaruke vojnicima kako bi sprije?io njihovu želju za ostankom kod ku?e, umjesto odlaskom u rat. U to doba živio je i sve?enik Valentin. Sve?enstvo je moralo poštovati odluku, ali Valentin je ipak ostao pri svojim životnim ciljevima i potajno vjen?avao one vojnike koji su to htjeli. Nedugo nakon smrti, narod je Valentina proglasio svecem pa tako danas i mi u modernom vremenu slavimo Valentinovo - Dan zaljubljenih.
Tradicije Valentinova su razli?ite po zemljama. Npr: U Engleskoj su prije sto godina obla?ili malu djecu kao odrasle na Valentinovo, djeca su išla od vrata do vrata i pjevala Valentinovu pjesmu. U Wales-u se darivale drvene izrezbarene žlice. Simboli su naj?eš?e bili; srca, klju?evi i nosili su poruku "ti imaš klju? moga srca". Tako i u našem gradu, poznatom još kao "grad ljubavi", koji zaljubljene o?arava na prvi pogled, mogle su se osjetiti ?ari Valentinova. Mirisni buketi cvije?a, kojeg su tog dana gradom nosili sramežljivi muškarci, ushi?ene djevojke sa ukrasnim vre?icama, velikim mašnama do?aravali su Valentinovo bez rije?i. Osmijesi na licima mladih uz šetnje gradom, slatki zalogaji u malenim slasti?arnicama, bili su trenuci koji se pamte. Pahulje koje su tog dana padale, bile su znak ljubavi koja je vladala gradom. Zima koja se se osje?ala u gradu zbližila je zaljubljena srca. Grad je li?io na bajku,sve je sijalo u ime ljubavi. Vjerujemo da je medju zaljubljenima bilo i turista u našem gradu, koji su na mapi svojih putovanja izabrali Tuzlanski kanton za Valentinovo.

Fragrant flowers, which are on the city wore a shy man, bubbly girl with decorative bags, large bow magicly  the Valentine's Day without a word.
